Sapere explores the balance between material accumulation and the pursuit of knowledge, reflecting on how both shape personal identity and influence the way we move through the world.

The work considers how consumer culture can place value on “having” over “being,” and how the desire for possessions, reassurance, and external validation can overshadow deeper self-awareness and growth. It also reflects on the importance of curiosity, education, and reflection as counterpoints to materialism.

Created as a time-lapse video from still photographs captured at fixed intervals, Sapere is designed for projection or screen-based presentation.
