Solitude (2013)

ALERTA GAZCUE explores the quiet tension and layered atmosphere of Gazcue through a refined photographic perspective.

Victoria Thomen Photo & Image presents a body of work shaped by nighttime observation, where still streets and subdued urban spaces reveal a sense of solitude, pause, and reflection.

The project was first exhibited as part of the Alerta Gazcue Exhibition, organized by the Escritura del Espacio photographic collective in September 2013 at the Center for Inventories of Cultural Assets and the Casa de Italia in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic.

It was also featured in the 50th edition of Archivos de Arquitectura Antillana, issue #AAA050, under the title "Gazcue: la oscura soledad o el silencio de la ciudad que duerme."
